High School Resource Special Education Teacher

 Biology Teacher

Junior Class Sponsor

Welcome to Mrs. Huxoll's class.  I am excited for a new school year with a brand new school!  This is such a fun time to be a part of the Arapahoe School District and I am proud to be a part of it.  I became a teacher, because I love working with kids.  I found my way into special education by finding different ways to think outside of the box when it comes to academics.  I have taught K-12th graders and was the Math Methods Teacher for Southwest Kansas.  This is my 23rd year of teaching and coaching.

In my spare time I enjoy watching KSU athletics.  I attended Kansas State University and received my degree as a K-8 Elementary Education Teacher with a minor in Speech Language Pathology.  My mom and dad attended KSU as well so it is something I grew up loving.  I  attended Emporia State University after my third year of teaching and received my Master's of Science Degree in Special Education in LD and BD K-12.

A little bit of info. about me............

I am married to Darren Huxoll.  He is a crop adjuster and we have cattle.  We have 5 children between the two of us so our household is pretty busy and entertaining.  I have three boys that attend or attended here in Arapahoe.  Alex is a junior in college this year at Nebraska Wesleyan University perusing a degree in biology and chemistry.  He is also getting a minor in Japanese and Philosophy.  Austin Roush is a freshman at Doane University.  He is busy playing football or training for football as a linemen.  He is pursuing a degree in business.  AJ is in 7th grade.  He is playing football as well, but he spends most of his time shooting hoops.  Deryk Huxoll is working in Lincoln and attending classes at Southeast Community College.  Taryn Huxoll lives in North Carolina and is working. She plans to eventually go to school for nursing.  Our family spends a lot of time running around to school events.  I wouldn't trade it for the world.
