From the desk of John Strand:

The Warriors traveled to Cambridge tonight to take on the Trojans and lost a heartbreaker in overtime, 58-56. We did a great job of attacking the rim, but at times we were sloppy with the ball, allowing Cambridge too many takeaways. Defensively we did a good job of defending the perimeter, but gave up too many drives to the rim. I was really happy with how the boys kept responding and keeping the game close. Yordi and Gentry led the way with 24 and 11 respectively, and Yordi, Carson, and Gentry all finished with double digit rebounds. Nolan had a pretty good game adding 9 points and played pretty well on the defensive end.

In the JV game, we started out well, but struggled taking care of the ball. We had too many possessions where we weren't able to get a shot attempt because we were turning the ball over. We did start the game well and got out to an early lead, but then we were held scoreless in the 3rd. The final ended 52-28.

The next game for the Warriors will be Friday at Bertrand. Bertrand will be hosting a benefit that night serving Prime Rib sandwiches and auctioning off Husker tickets.

Go Warriors!
