Pandemic Response Action Steps Oct 19, 2020

When a mandatory mask mandate is implemented in the district there will be the following exceptions:

  • Individuals with a medical diagnosis that prevents the wearing of masks (medical documentation required) and
  • Children under the age of 6

The Arapahoe Warriors will not compete with or participate in an event with a school that has positive COVID players or coaches within 7 days of the competition.

Academic Pandemic Response Action Steps: These responses to the COVID Pandemic will be enacted by the administration:

Event 1:

When the quarantine rate is at or above 35 student and/or staff.

or

Or a student or staff member tests positive for COVID.

Action Step 1: (Remain at Phase II – Yellow)

Masks will be required by ALL Students, staff and anyone entering the school and riding in any school vehicles.

Activities:

Players and staff:

Masks are to be worn at all times when not actively involved an aerobic activity.  Mask must be worn during travel to and from the activity.

Continue to follow NSAA and local health department (per NSAA) guidelines for school activities.

Spectators:

No concessions will be available and spectators must wear a mask while in the building.  No outside food or drink will be permitted. 

Spectators not wearing a facemask over their nose and mouth will be asked once to wear one properly.  A second violation and the individual(s) will be required to leave (no refund on admission). If spectator(s) refuse to leave, the activity will be delayed until they comply and the spectator(s) may be banned from attending future indoor activities until the mask requirement is lifted. 

Event 2:

When the district has an outbreak of quarantines (Outbreak is defined as the district has 70 student and staff quarantines combined in any 7 day period in the district or when a class has to be quarantined due to direct contact at school).

Action Step 2: (Remain at Phase II – Yellow)

The district will be closed two days for disinfecting the facilities.

Implement an alternative busing schedule with only students the district is legally required to transport (> 4 miles from the street address of the school) except for students we are required to transport by law.

Look at other transportation options.

Split classrooms or alternative school schedule would be implemented.

Activities:

In addition to the restriction listed in Action Step 1, spectators will be limited to direct family members for home games (Maximum 10 tickets per family). 

Spectators not wearing a facemask over their nose and mouth will be asked once to wear one properly.  A second violation and the individual(s) will be required to leave (no refund on admission). If spectator(s) refuse to leave, the activity will be delayed until they comply and the spectator(s) may be banned from attending future indoor activities until the mask requirement is lifted. 

Event 3:

When the SWNPHD Dial is set at Red (Severe).
