5th grade presented their Commercials today! We had edible pencils, Mushroom (or all vegetable) Washer, and The Switch Tensel (all in one utensil set for camping). Students needed to have a jingle with a hook, use instruments, write a script, and make us wish their product really existed.

Yesterday we hosted the Arapahoe Golf Invite and it turned out to be one of our better days for weather. Chris Hermes was our lone medalist placing 12th with a score of 87. As a team we shot our best score with a 367 placing 4th. Next meet is April 22nd at Alma.

Seven students competed at Invention Convention yesterday. The competition took place in Holdrege at the Nebraska Prairie Museum. After presenting inventions, we had the opportunity to listen to Mr. Dooley from Allmand speak about their invention, the hybrid light tower.
Our students did an amazing job of representing themselves and our school. Their inventions were unique, they presented professionally, and acted respectfully. It was very impressive!
At the end of the day, our 3rd grade team of Gradyn and Avery won their grouping and won the best overall 3rd grade invention! What a great accomplishment!
Congratulations everyone on a great day!
